The plan is illustrated the difference between the past and present topology of the mining city. Looking from an overall perspective, the urbanistic focus was changed from the industrial development to touristic and recreation aspects which are included the historical town’s legacy.
Early days, the main tendency of a city’s authorities was making a place which satisfied the mining’s demand. The town’s buildings were centered around a mine entrance. There were located useful spots for miners, specifically a main office for a documentary work, an outbuilding where workers could change their uniform. For the transport allocated two sites: a parking lot near the changing room and to its right was a lorry park. Near the last one a hospital for an emergency treatment was founded. 1/3 of the city area were occupied by pits for waste after a mineral extraction.
In the present days, there are two places which are the same as before: the mine entrance and parking lot. Over time, the office and changing room have been replaced by a main town’s museum as well as the medical room by a cafe. The lorry park has been demolished and then this territory became a foot path for visitors as a new part of the city which leads to a kid’ playground. Waste pits were replaced by a driving truck track and picnic area a s a part of the resort. The previous history of the mine aren’t forgotten and as a result it was transformed into the place for excursions.
