It is understandable that the cities’ population is increasing sharply, leading to various negative effects on human’s life and society. One of the main effects is the overpopulation leads to various kinds of serious pollution such as air pollution or water pollution. The reason for this is because there are various factors causing this problem such as emission from vehicles, waste disposed from factories and industries, releasing directly into the environment without treatment. For example, New Delhi of India, known as the one of the most crowded cities in the world, now are coping with the air pollution, causing by human activities such as transportation or burning coals for energy. As a result, various cities’ population is increasing rapidly, causing to pollution leading to various diseases such as lung cancer or heart diseases.
To address this issue, there are some solutions to maintain the living condition of city dwellers. One of them is that government should suppose and apply various policies to raise the awareness of protecting the environment and use more public transport rather using private ones. The reason for this is because this is one of the greatest way to limit and control the amount of carbon dioxide, which is the main factor leading to pollution. For example, in Japan, government is planning to encourage people to use bus or cycle to go to work by decreasing the costs of these vehicles. As a result, the environment is becoming cleaner, allowing residents to live and follow a healthier life.
