Moreover, Online learning can reduce face-to-face interaction between students and teachers, which can reduce communication skills and sometimes, if students have a questions, nobody can help to answer their questions. This can lead to misunderstandings and affect academic performance. Additionally, home environment can directly affect to students performance, due to many distraction from smartphones, television, or household responsibilities, and internet connection. This also makes online learning less effective.
To addressed this problem, using or developing combine online and classroom learning called blended learning system may be effective. Students can study basic material online and take note when they have a question, when they come to school, teachers can discuss and answer that questions. These system will be benefit to students and can also improve face-to-face education and communication. Moreover, improving monitor and student support is other benefitial things, teachers can monitor attendance, assignment completion and test results to students, students who get low grade should receive additional tutoring or counsel to improve their academic performance.
In conclusion, this problem is mainly caused by students’ lack of self-discipline and limited interaction between students and teachers in online environments. However, this problems can be addressed by creating combination of online and traditional education systems and improving student engagement and monitoring.
