Since technologies have evolved significantly, the number of crimes are decreasing effectively. In contrast to the past, while some people think cybercrime is so dangerous, I completely agree with this view because of biometrical recognition.
On the one hand, due to developed technologies can be used by everyone. Criminals have been using them as well. And they became hackers who are really dangerous for both the government and population. Consequently, not only they are stealing money from people’s card without even noticing them, but also they are forcing to the security system of the banks and getting too much money with the help of unknown accounts. For example, according to the database of the government of Uzbekistan, the amount of cybercrime was more than that of others last year.
On the other hand, I fully agree that advanced technologies are helping extremely effective. In the past, when those who wear masks go to the shop for stealing something, no one could identify them, who they are. Additionally, criminals used to walk around cities and public places without fear. However, today’s technologies such as facial recognition and fingerprint scanners help us to find criminals much more faster than ever. If the crime happens in somewhere, we firstly monitor the records of the camera and mostly it works and identifies the criminals. Plus, if this doesn’t work, we start checking fingerprint scanners, which is so useful in finding them. As a result, we have got much evidence and the process continues just a few hours or even minutes. For example, once my phone was stolen at a supermarket during shopping. When I realized that my phone was not in my pocket, I told to the officer about that. Next, we started checking video cameras at the supermarkets. After a minute, we found the criminal with clear evidence.
In conclusion, even though cybercrime might be a huge difficulty for both population and the government, I think the convenience which advanced technologies can offer help us to solve problems and to find criminals as much as quickly.
