It is getting more popular that nowadays, people tend to choose remote work and are less likely to go to their workplaces, it has gradually resulted in less dynamic atmostphere in the work environment. While I acknowledge the merits of traditional model of workplace, I strongly believe that the disadvantages of this trend would be outweighted by benefits of remote work.
Opponents of working far from the work environment often take the productivity of working directly in the company and also the connection among employees as the core arguments. Under the supervision of managers when working directly in the company, it forces employees to meticulously finish their work to submit deadlines on time, then creating a smooth system in the way that this company operates and achieving subsequent best results in the growth of economy itself. Also, the traditional model of work offers workers to have a tight-nit relationship with their colleagues. When having to cope with numerous challenging tasks, searching for a help and support from other employees would serve as a best way to not only boost their productivity at work but also broaden their networking and encourage a sense of community, from that forming a effective working atmostphere.
On the other hands, those advocating for remote work give some persuasive arguments. First, not going far to their companies, employees that living in remote areas could save a lot of their time and efforts that is supposed to devote to driving to work, so that they complete their work much more effectively at their homes and it also contributes to create good energy to start a new productive day at work. For instance, in Vietnam, there has been increasing a number of people adapting remote work, it has been recorded that they feel much more comfortable and more creative when working in a private place in their home. Furthermore, if employees have to carry out their duty without their supervisors or managers being arounf, it will probably develope their responsibility of work, which is good feature to be a perfect employee, then proves that is is uncessesary and crucial to join in the workplaces. Finally, there have been now various social platforms to maintain deep connection among workers in the same company, it would be possible to stay in touch, freely share private stories with your colleagues without worrying about others’ judgement, so it makes working remotely much more convenient now thanin the past.
In conclusion, while joining in the workplaces still provides some merits, in suh technological world, it is much better and convenient to doing professional jobs when still staying at home. It is imperative that employees should raise awareness of responsibility when working without supervision and being proactive at work, so it could lead to common benefits for their organizations.
