In this day and age, dependence on car on daily bases has been depending on their cars for a normal day use such as for family, job, or social purposes. However, overusing cars too much can have many negative effects. This essay will discuss possible issues and feasible measures to decrease the reliance on cars.
First and foremost, one of the main problems is traffic congestion . To discuss further, if many individuals use a car too much,it can cause overcrowding, so some people spend hours on the road, thereby encountering many problems such as delayed appointments or missed job related activities. For instance, in Vietnam, especially in cities, heavy traffic congestion is a common situation because most working people use cars to go to their workplace. As a result, a number of workers as well as students often come late to their jobs or classes, causing inefficiency and low perfomance.
Another important measure to reduce the reliance on cars is to improve public transportation systems. If buses, trains, and subways are more convenient, affordable, and reliable, people will be more willing to use them instead of private cars. For example, the government can increase the number of buses during peak hours and build more metro lines in big cities. In addition, encouraging people to use bicycles or walk for short distances can also help reduce car usage. As a result, traffic congestion will be reduced and the environment will become cleaner.
