Nowadays, music is depicted in multiple ways all around the world. In this essay, the case about the importance of music and the contrast between traditional and International music will be presented.
Music occurred a long time ago. Some might think that it is somehow a new phenomenon but it is not. The first sound was created as the first human was born. Early humans used sticks or empty bones in order to create a unique sound, a rhythm that could speak more than words could. Music’s importance is not only in the sound or melody, it is rooted in relations between people. Moreover, music connects people, it brings thousands of them under one roof at a concert, festival. Even without words one can understand another one, just by looking at their playlist. As it is a popular practice that if both people like one style of music, they might as well share similar interests and tastes.
Many might question whether the traditional music of a country is more significant than the International music. On one side, the music that one is taught from childhood that also appears at one’s home country is very influential. It shapes the person and builds their first impression of music. As from the birth they listen to it and meet people, who also listen to it. When my sister was smaller, she would often question why in different countries, the radio station hits were completely different. Later with the help of music, she found out about different cultures, in Spain she saw their national dances, in Poland their shows and so on. Cultural music tells a lot about a society that lives there.
On the other hand, it is well-known that people might listen not only the national music but any other that they like. Thus, young people and not only them choose what they want to listen to, regardless of the country. On the contrary, the music is often chosen based on the genre or popularity. For instance, when I first started discovering and listening to music I chose what was the most famous song of that time, or what song I have heard before.
To conclude, music is a big part of everyone’s life, which was discovered on the early times. Whether it is traditional or International it still affects one’s relationships and experiences. how many words and rate it
