In recent years, the number of couples who decide not to have babies has increased significantly. this issue has a lot of privileges like reducing the responsibilities among married people, as well as conflicts between them. However, there are many drawbacks. Advantages and disadvantages will be discussed in the following essay.
There are many advantages for this phenomenon. The first one is that reducing the responsibilities on couples. This is to say that, when married people decide not to have baby, they do not have to be afraid of the financial problems which come with children. For example, having children means parents should put them in schools and provide health care to them, which rises the responsibilities on them. Another advantage is that, declining the conflicts between couples. In other words, when couples have a baby, they would argue about children’s demanding. For instance, in Lebanon, research has shown that approximately 60% of conflicts between families because of their children.
However, there are also many drawbacks of this issue. Decreasing the number of youths in countries causes economic issues. This is to say that, the portion of elderly will increase compared to youth. Consequently, this would lead to lack of the number of people who can work in the countries. For instance, in Europe, the majority of countries bring worker from other countries due to the lack of workhands in local societies. In addition, these phenomenon increases the psychological issues. In other words, couples who live alone suffer from lonely and depression.
To sum up, there are a huge number of married people who do not want to have a babies. This issue has advantages and also has drawbacks, like the economic and mental problems.
