For a long time, teachers have played one of the major roles in society. Nowadays, there is a claim that the number of people who want to get a job as a teacher, especially in intermediate schools dwindled significantly worldwide. There are several solutions that should be implemented to deal with the given problem.
One of the main reasons why many people are demotivated from pursuing the position of a teacher is that the salary teachers receive is not stable and does not pay the bills in comparison with other professions. For instance, in Uzbekistan, a teacher who has ten years of experience in teaching is paid less than a lawyer with the same experience. For that matter, the Government should take measures to increase the salary of teachers to foster the importance of teachers among people.
Another problem is related to the way children behave in the class. That is to say, it is a common occasion when teachers have to deal with ill-mannered pupils which in return makes them feel stressed. Consequently, many individuals start to refuse to teach or quit the position of teaching. From my perspective, parents should bear more responsibility regarding developing a sense of respect toward teachers, so that the interaction between the teacher and student is kept positive in tone.
In conclusion, the reason why many people are reluctant to build their careers as teachers lies in financial and moral standards. Finally, yet importantly, the role of the government and parents is crucial to deal with the problem of teacher deficiency by providing competitive wages and fostering a sense of respect for the profession.
