People have long aspired to live in a perfect society, although the agreement about such a community has not been defined. This essay seeks to identify that peace is the key factor to an optimal society before elaborating on the measures to achieve this stage.
I am convinced that peace is instrumental in guaranteeing convenience and genuine happiness among residents, hence a perfect society. With peace, individuals are enabled to lead a healthy life, enjoy societal security and easily access to the modern social services such as hospitals or schools, thereby enhancing their living standards. By contrast, life without peace can take a heavy toll on the survival of individuals, as wars are often profoundly detrimental to the social facilities and even threaten several lives. Take, the Pakistan and Afghanistan skirmishes as a prime example. Such wars have stunted the economic growth in both countries, causing thousands of people to lose their jobs and leading them to poverty and misery. Additionally, not only are housing and social facilities seriously damaged by bombs, millions of lives have also been lost during the wars. Such a dire consequence highlights the importance of peace in sustaining a perfect society, which elevates living standards and allows people to achieve true fulfillment.
There are several measures that can be implemented to attain peace and thus an optimal society. Firstly, schools should equip students with knowledge about the devastating impacts of wars and the glaring merits of peace. This can instill their incentives to protect peace for the community in an early stage, which are attributable to a perfect society in the long run. Secondly, by mounting large-scale campaigns, the government can motivate individuals to have collective efforts to sustain peace within a society, thereby elevating their own contentment in life. Furthermore, national authorities between countries should join hands to preserve peace and shun any actions that can evoke wars by complying with regulations from the United Nations and mitigating cross-border problems through negotiations, which are crucial for a peaceful and perfect society.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that peace is an indispensable element in attaining an optimal society, as it promotes people’s living standards and fulfillment during daily life. To achieve this, schools and the government should raise awareness among students and residents to appreciate peace, and national authorities between countries need to prioritize negotiating, obeying laws and avoiding wars.
