A perfect society is what people have been long dreaming of, despite not being able to define what such a society is. For me, a perfect society allows people to freely pursue their dream, which could be made possible in some ways.
Individuals could progress on their career ladder more easily if the society could run a good social welfare system, as well as provide free education for everyone. Regarding the former factor, the implementation of programs such as the Universal Basic Income that allows everyone with a minimum amount of income can help people of all employment status meet their basic needs in life. People can thereby save more money to invest in their career development by registering for language courses, for example, to improve their job prospects. One other factor is free tuition fee, with which education would be accessible to every child, ensuring a solid knowledge foundation for them to get on in life. As a result, every one, regardless of their family backgrounds, could have an equal opportunity to get a better job, helping poor families escape the loop of poverty over the generations.
To make this happen, it requires an effort from the government and families. The feasibility of programs such as the aforementioned Universal Basic Income relies on the government. Thus, the government can subsidize such programs using the tax revenue made from taxing the wealthier people. Moreover, it is equally important to root out corruption persisted in the current government bodies to make sure the citizens can fully and easily benefit the social welfare. Family is another stakeholder in making a perfect society happen, as they have massive influence on their children. Parents should instill self-discipline into their children by teaching them how to manage time and money effectively, leading the child to successfully manage their studies and other necessities as they grow older.
In conclusion, a perfect society should be where every individual is allowed to fully develop by equipping them with the necessary welfare and education. This can be helped by the involvement of government and a parental effort from family.
