The majority of people believe that learing mistake from the past could help new generations to stop repeating them again, while some think that history was manipulated by those influenced figures. Personally, I totally agree with the statement eventhough there are some drawbacks that will be explained in this essay.
Today’s modern world where we are living is the result of not only the uncountable mistakes that made by our ancestors, but also upgrades by them throughout their eras. By learing failure from descedant and the adjustment that they have made, our generations could make the world a better place to live. Let’s take rocket scienece success as an example, though there were many mistakes in launching the rockets to the moon, human beings did exceptional work to land on the moon after so many false starts and errors, they suceed and stepped one of the most crucial milestones in human history. However, some individuals believe that it was a brainwashing campaign made by the United States to let the Soviet Union lead to bankruptcy.
On the other hand, some people still believe that there are other effective ways to make the world a better place to live since they think the past could manipulated a youngster easily. To that extend, knowing which information is verification or disinformation at an early age could be helpful. For instance, teachers and parents could teach their children how important is climate adjustment for the new era which is not in any kind of old day books. Because history is written by Victor so not all parts of it is reliable and trustworthy. Since the victor usually control the media and shape their report into misinformation and misleading, that’s why we should not trust them blindly without any real evidences.
To sum up, I couldn’t agree more that the younger generations could learn about the diaster and improvements of the older generations. Moreover, it shows patterns of behaviour or events in the past and their outcome which can help us avoid similar outcomes in the future, but there are also other ways than learing from history, not everything in the history is true and we should never believe all of them without any vertification.
