It is thought by some people that study of history is the most convenient option for young people, because this helps them to adapt well in the today’s world. In this essay, I explain why historical studies are not enough for youth and what other options could be more helpful for them to function in the modernity.
Although some people think that studying the past encourages children to prepare in the modern world, I totally disagree with it. With the rapid changes in technology, it is harder than the past to adapt to a new environment. For example, in the past people could not use face-call for communication, but now there are a lot of ways to talk and chat. And so, learning the past is not enough to understand and deal with today’s problems, because nowadays human interactions and social problems are considerably more difficult and complex than the old times. Another reason is that youth is the process that they should learn how to be an open-minded, problem solving person. If they stuck in the pattern of past, they could not improve themself,and this will lead to them not open to create the new solutions.
The best way to help young people for future is that creating the most suitable ambience which they could feel relax and calm to talk about their ideas. As a result, they will be more confidence and without any judgemental-minds they could easily find proper solutions for them to adapt in modern world. Other way is to encourage them to function is that let them make mistakes. Then, they think a way to control their emotions and feel more strong about it.
To sum up, I think that historical studies are not a convenient option for young’s to adapt in the modern society. However, with a good environment and understanding behavior could help them to adapt.
