I wholeheartedly agree with the decision of government to forbid convenience food to not be widely marketed to the public. This decision is all due to the danger of convenience dishes which cause deadly impact to societies’ health. The huge number of consuming these foods by public may be guaranteed because of how cheap and easy it is to consume them and they have a longer shelf life compared to traditional foods.
We should know already that most of the sweets belong to the category of convenience food, e.g. chocolates, candies, soft drinks, carbonated drinks, and many more. These products contain of high level of sugars per serving, which range about 30-150 grams of sugar. The excess amount of sugar consumed per day will rise the fat to be stored in our body significantly. The long sustaining consumption will gradually increase the risk of diabetes and obesity.
Most of the convenience foods usually are the ultra-processed foods, which lack of balance nutrients and vitamins. The prolonged consumption will give much calories, but not enough nutrients for body. This issue may inhibit body and organs development and decrease the efficiency of building immunity in body. This issue may be escalated to even worse possible scenarios, such as malnutrition, kwashiokor, and vitamin deficiency.
In conclusion, the government should restrict the distribution of convenience serving due to its unhealthy chemicals. Most of sweets contain high amount of sugar which may promote obesity and diabetes, while the ultra-processed foods may cause imbalance nutrients in our body. All of these points is evident of the cause public health issues in the future.
