Band 4+: to what extent do you agree or disagree that jobs satisfaction is more important than salary when choosing a career?

Nowadays, many individuals have started selecting their jobs depending on salaries. Moreover, Bilkent University research has revealed that this number is likely to rise in the future. This essay will explain why people should not select their work on salary.

Every people want achievement or success on their life. However having job that ourselves do not like will be harder to become successful because it require more work and focus. For instance, imagine spending time the game that you love, you can spend your whole day but think about doing homework even focusing on it will be harder. So, disliking our own job can lead to unsuccessfulness.

Furthermore, employees usually spend their daily times mostly on the work. So, holding a position that does not match personal interests can lead to anxiety, depression and overthinking. On the long run, employees happiness and friendships can get effected badly which can lead to joblessness or lacking of friends.

However, one of the most crucial side is financial security. Having a less income than average means less quality life which also can leads to psychological effects, friendships and less chances to become successful.

To conclude up, if you are financially secured or if it is will not be problem for you job satisfaction is more essential while choosing a career.
