The last few decades have witnessed a remarkable rise in relocating tendency among people due to increasing population and unemployment issues. These days, in many countries, individuals choose living away from their family and friends to find employment. However, I firmly disagree that the benefits of this development exceed the drawbacks because it often causes poor relationships and forces people to pay a huge accommodation cost.
To commence with, proponents of relocating tendency as the reason for the increasing gaps in relationships argue that it enhances conflicts for an extended period of time. In other words, most week relationships are caused by misunderstanding between two persons, which can be easily addressed if they meet each other in person. Migrant workers always live away from their loved once; therefore, they often suffer from lonliness and various mental health problems, like anxiety and depression. For instance, in a developing country like India, well-known worldwide for its growing population and unemployment issues, working professionalls often find themselves living in a different city alone and frequently face relationship issues, such as divorce, demonstrating the consequences of living without family members and friends.
Moreover, renting or buying flats are too expensive nowadays in metropolitan cities, where most employers offer different highly paying jobs. To epitomize, software engineers in the USA, often pay a significant amount of their earnings for a decent accommodation in large cities, and they are being forced to manage their daily expenses with the rest of their salaries. Hence, this trend of relocating is not financially beneficial to salary-based employees.
In conclusion, this development of living away from friends and family is not only the main reason for week relationships, but also responsible in forcing working professionals to pay a significant amount of their salaries for accommodation. From my perspective, individuals should only choose living in another city if they are unable to find employment near their home.
