Band 5+: Today, many people choose to move from the countryside to the cities. What problems can this situation cause? What can be done to solve these problems?

Nowadays, more people leave from their countryside and move to cities. It’s due to the lack of job opportunities, transportation facilities and the political situation in rural areas. As a result, people may be difficult in facing job competition and encountered much pollution in urban areas.

First, individuals change the place of residence to cities because job opportunities are rarely found in countryside. Commercial facilities like large companies, supermarket and construction sites are not common in rural areas. Therefore, most graduates and young people are hard to find jobs even if they would like to work. Consequently, many individuals move to cities in order to get a great remuneration. As a result, people in unban areas may face job competition because there are more job seekers than job opportunities. It can face unequal job opportunities and lack of staff and workers between countryside and cites more in rural areas.

Secondly, transportation facilities like roads in countryside are too bad to use. It’s usually difficult to go one place to another because roads and streets are to0 bad to pass. In some parts, it may take too long for the students to go to schools. As a result, the students move to cities in order to study well and the city may face overpopulation. Thirdly, in some countries, the political situations in rural areas are more unstable than in cities. Media and the public speaking are weak and underdeveloped in countryside. As a result, many people move to cities since there Is no safety. It cause unemployment and pollution like noise and water in cities since many people from rural areas move to there and the cities may become more urban.

To summarize, many people move from countryside to cites in order get a better life and to avoid poverty. As a consequence, the cities may face difficulties in job opportunities, various forms of pollution.
