Nowadays, the majority of students are deciding to move abroad for further education. In my perspective, there are several benefits that students will have in their life, but there are also a few issues that students face. I will discuss both the bright and dark sides of this notion with examples.
To commence with, there are many advantages of studying abroad. Firstly, students can have access to advanced technology and a high quality of education. To explain, they can use modern labs, advanced teaching methods and practical learning, which helps them improve their interest and focus more on academics. Secondly, one of the biggest benefits is that learners become independent and experience personal growth. Students become mature, responsible and confident because they live alone in another country. For example, they make their own decisions, cook meals, manage money and do part-time work, which makes them responsible for both work and education. I believe that when people study in another nation, these skills are essential for their whole life.
On the other hand, there are a few problems which impact their education. Most students prefer to study in a faraway country, so they suffer from homesickness and emotional stress. They have difficulties and mental pressure due to cultural differences. For instance, they remember their past, feel lonely and struggle with learning in another language, which affects their studies. Furthermore, balancing study and work also impacts their academics, leading to lower performance in exams and preventing them from achieving their desired marks.
In conclusion, although there are various advantages students have when they study abroad, like better quality education, there are also a few problems that impact their studies, such as work-study management and emotional stress.
