Many people argue that instead of helping other people who are suffering from starving they can effort to spend money and time on their pets. In this essay pros and cons of that will be analyzed with relevant proofs.
On the one hand, since ancient times our ancestors used pets as friends who could keep secrets and be loyal till their death but in the modern world where millions of people feel lonely cats and dogs serve as life motives and to stay mentally healthy. For instance, scientifically proven that people who can share emotions and feelings with others live longer, to add to this, times when they go outside for morning walks keep them healthier both mentally but also physically. Thus, animals are a displaced part of human beings.
On the other hand, many individuals believe that each person can help for poor layer of society. They argue that instead of spending money for food and medicine for their pets every day they can once a week donate a much smaller amount of money to grocery banks to help decrease the rate of starving in their region or city. Thus, a cent of money spent on helping people can save further the life of someone which is much more morally valued than the life of animals.
In conclusion, I believe that investments spent on saving pets are important for pet lovers but helping to remove poverty and creating a new motive or resource for the life of someone is much more important than wasting it on a creature that can even survive without the help of humanity. It is, therefore believed that people have to help each other.
