Nowadays, with the rapid development of technology, children are lazier in their leisure time than in the past as playing video games is more interesting. Hence, Physical Education must be obligatory in schools. Personally, I strongly agree with this statement. Firstly, the lack of exercise and playing sports will cause several health problems; secondly, using technological devices for a long time will lead to a mental health shortage and many other diseases.
Initially, the deficiency of exercise will cause the pupils to contract plenty of diseases such as obesity, tiredness, etc. When they are not doing physical activities for too long, the blood in those vessels will not circulate constantly to their heart and brain which can lead to sudden death. In contrast, children in the past do not have any video games to play in their free time so most of them will go out and play a lot of outdoor activities. For example, they can hang out with their friend, and play football and other sports as well. Therefore, I firmly agree with compulsory sports lessons in schools.
Likewise, the immature who use too many electrical devices will become tired, and reduce their ability to be creative. Furthermore, playing too many video games will lead to some diseases that will decline their study capability. In the old days, children do not have social media like Facebook or Instagram so they need to find their happiness by creating their games. In addition, they also solve some puzzles that will improve their critical thinking and become cleverer.
In conclusion, youngsters are now less active than in the past, they prefer staying at home to playing outside. For that reason, I inflexibly agree that schools must add some compulsory sports lessons to the school schedule. One day, with the prescriptive P.E. classes, students will be more confident and active.
