In several countries, the younger generation has become wealthier, healthier and increased their life expectancy, however, they are still unhappy. This is largely caused by a lack of work-life balance. I believe that to address this situation, people should prioritize personal relationships.
Many young people completely focus on their careers, in order to pursue success. They start to spend a significant amount of time on work, and less on personal relationships with family and friends. This leads to growing apart from their families and friends. For example, by concentrating only on work, people rarely appear on family holidays or on meetings with friends. Therefore, they have developed a feeling of distance from loved ones. As a result, this feeling gradually leads to loneliness and a sense of unhappiness.
However, there is an eficient solution to address this problem. To bring back happiness and connection with close people, they should take at least one day-off from work. Young people should spend the entire day in company of their loved ones, without thinking about work at all. This solution will help people reconnect with family or friends, and people will able to strengthen their personal relationshps. Consequently, it will boost their mood and improve their overall well-being, allowing them to feel joyful again.
In conclusion, regardless of the reason behind feeling of unhappiness among young people, maintaining a healthy work-life balance can help tackle this issue.
