We acknowledge that tourism, as a fast-moving area of attraction, is one of the great contributing sector in the world economy. However, the negative impact this sector is playing especially towards the indigenous culture and climate change should not be undermined.
It is true that tourism has big share to the world economic growth and becoming sources of income for many people including house hold leaders and other individuals. And, it is also undeniable fact that this industry is playing paramount role in integrating different countries in cultural exchange and experience sharing through tourism.
Nevertheless, the sector is also negatively impacting the indigenous culture and costume. This has been clearly seen when tourists undermine the local culture and value by their unethical deeds and trying to invade the local value irresponsibly. Moreover, tourism sector is one of the main industry that is contributing to the world environmental crisis. Cognizant of this, reports reveals that most of the materials that are being used by the tourists like plastic cups and other more are contributing to the world environmental crisis and climate change that eventually causes natural disasters such as Global warming, drought and weather change.
In conclusion, even though tourism plays paramount role to the world economy growth and human life, the negative impact which greatly affects the local culture and the environment shall not overshadow. Hence, concerned bodies including government, international organization, and environmental activities should reconsidered and take these negative impacts in to their account.
