Vaccines for children have dramatically decreased in popularity as a way of protection in some societies recently. Many individuals claim that vaccination is risky for health and as such is not required. In this essay, I will argue why vaccination is one of the most effective methods to prevent numerous diseases, and it is completely crucial despite its potential risks.
It is understandable that some parents are usually wary of subjecting their children to vaccines. There are many notions, especially on the Internet, that those unfamiliar substances are harmful to infants’ health. Therefore, numerous parents avoid vaccinating children as they naturally have protective instincts toward their offspring. To illustrate, there have been some tragic cases where a child has experienced unpredictably damaging reactions to vaccinations. For this reason, it is commonly believed by some parents that vaccines are not necessary but also dangerous.
Despite the minor risks associated with vaccination, the notion that it is not essential and hazardous is completely unreasonable. In fact, vaccination is a simple, easy, and effective way of protecting humans from diseases that can cause serious harm, especially in people with developing immune systems like infants. For instance, The Times has recently reported that vaccinations have been protecting people from numerous diseases, including well-known cervical cancer, COVID-19, and malaria. Overall, vaccinating is a reliable method to prevent children from different infections and illnesses.
In conclusion, this essay argued that those individuals who are against vaccination have no awareness of its benefits. Despite its small risks, I completely agree that vaccinating children is crucial.
