Band 6+: Vaccinating children against preventing diseases is not only unnecessary but also dangerous to what extend do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Should children be vaccinated against preventable diseases at all? There is debatable topic that subjecting children to vaccination is not only unnecessary but risky as well. While this essay largely disagrees with the above, the writer will discuss two points in the next two paragraphs to support his position.

First and formost, allowing babies to go through vaccination is necessary because it is an effective approach to saving lives. Most infant deaths are due to preventable diseases such as polio and hepatitis as reported by the World Health Organisation on 20th May, 2018. For this reason, vaccines are important medication because they do not only prevent illness for which they are taken but as well help save the lives of their consumers.

Furthermore, vaccination is by far the safest way to promote health. Although it is established that there are some dangers (side effects) associated with vaccination, these are negligible in severity as compared to other means of health promotion. A study by the World Health Promoters Association (WHPA) showed that taking disease-preventable medications (vaccines) is the most safest and least risky way to promote one’s health health as the side effects, if any, last for just few days, unlike the alternatives that could lead to death.

In conclusion, vaccinating neonates against preventable illnesses is not only necessary but by far the safest way to save lives and promote health. These have been backed by W.H.O and W.H.P.A. in their separate reports.
