The alarming rise in water pollution over past few decades has become a matter of concern for entire world . Man has exploited the nature for selfish reasons. Therefore I will discuss the reasons responsible for this and the possible solution in the upcoming paragraphs.
The list of factors, behind this, is endless, yet, to name a few, I consider infrastructure development and excessive use of resources as a major culprit. To commence with , there are many industries such as clothing industry, cement industry, agriculture industry uses ample water in their production which lead to wastage of water. Furthermore, Industries releases their industrial waste and dump their garbage in water bodies, they are adversely threating the aquatic life. On the top of it, people on riversides through their waste material in river which not only pollute the water bodies but also releases harmful chemical which further lead to ailments.
The solution to every problem lies in the core of its heart and the same applies here as well. Firstly, government should implement stringent environmental laws who pollutes the water bodies and they all should be penalized this will help curb environmental degradation to greater extent.
Besides, the use of clean energy should be promoted and industries should be awarded with incentives for using renewable energy. Apart from that, sustainable development approach should be used to overcome this problem.
It is high time that we realize our responsibility to make our society more livable by doing sustainable development and working hand in hand with the government to ensure harmony and peace.
