Many conflicts or natural disasters happen in various location around the world. It leads to the increased number of refugees as the impact of those unfortunate events. It is often argued that rich countries which have adequate sources have to let more refugees enter the countries and give basic needs for them which are meals and shelters. I personally disagree with this opinion that those countries should not pass more refugees because of employment and criminality aspects.
First, I believe equal employment opportunities hardly to be achieved even in wealthy countries. Some of the citizens are still unemployed and remain of the domestic people are homeless. However, if the government approves more refugees to stay in those respective countries it will impact to the employment rate. Since most of the company tend to take cheap labors from the market, it more likely to take the refugees as the employee rather than domestic people which are protected by employment regulations and cannot be paid under the required by the law.
Second, it seems to me domestic communities’ safety will be in danger after more refugees stay in the country. Government cannot supply the refugees needs continuously, it will lead to a fatigue time where the refugees will ask more of their necessities and start to interfere inhabitant’s security. If this issue cannot be managed properly, it may lead to more criminal cases to be happen. Refugees may commence to enforce and take away citizen’s belongings or doing unethical behaviors as they were not in their native places and nothing to lose.
In conclusion, wealthy countries can accept proper number of refugees as part of humanity norm, but they shall not accept excessive more refugees in order to maintain the balance of domestic employment rate and their own people safety condition.
