Some people have to live with their grandparents or parents in the same house. It brings both benefits and drawbacks. I think that it is beneficial in terms of support and care.
The first reason to live with elderly people is that they could serve you if you are alone and your parents must work during the day. I am one of the luckiest of them as my grandparents took care of me while I was little. They cooked, took me from school and other all stuff that my parents were supposed to do. Besides nurture, they might give support when you need since they next to you and find a chance to be part of your life. In moral manners, they are likely to have a more experience than youngers. Therefore, they are an experts in situations where needed to be supervised.
On the other hand, the are prone to have a complications in disases due to their older ages. That can affect the family regulation in daily life for instance; extra attention ought to be given if they are bedridden and can not move freely or without help such as stroke or paralysis. Moreover, the economical burden on those who has child and difficulties in working life might face problems in sustaining life for example, some psychological warfare.
To sum up, having older family members in living home has plentiful prons like emotional support althought it could be problematic sometimes especially if they are patient and needed to taken care of them.
