Every country in the world is used to using their own education system. The governments provide the special policies to initiate more productive education programs on the existing system. By following the modern time any country tends to provide policies to prepare more competitive graduates no matter from school or colleges. Moreover, the main differences between countries depend on their cultural features. Kazakhstan and the USA are capable of illustrating these differences in education systems, such as school education systems, high education institutional (university, college) features, and preferences of students.
The school education system is the main part of life for any person. At school people usually learn about fundamental sciences, mathematics and others. These subjects allow students to acquire enough knowledge to construct individual consciousness about life. The school time helps people to learn how to interact with another person or how to express their opinion during conversation. Regarding this feature, Kazakhstan’s public and private schools are going to launch a special petition to change the Soviet Union’s heritage in our schools that provided more technical oriented subjects as mathematics or physics. Because, the schools in Kazakhstan are typically teach the students by reading and deciding tasks on the paper without using technologies. Conversely, in the USA every school, whether public or private, provides unique approaches to teach students by practical assignments such as interaction between students, represent presentations, and even making projects as a team. These methods to give knowledge are more progressive, and have a lot of benefits to bring up a good representative member of the nation in comparison to other countries at the international competitions on fundamental subjects.
Following the school’s education system, there is a difference regarding high-education at universities and colleges of these two countries. Both of them have a lot of institutes to prepare necessary staff for their economy. Currently, the authorities of KZ attempt to modify and diversify the local economy from energetic potential education to more diversified ways of education such as production of technological products or others in order to nurture an educated and innovative population as in the USA. Throughout the centuries the American universities evolved until nowadays by the demonstration of revolutionary openings in science, technology or education. Moreover, the societal freedom, financial independence, and developed capitalistic system of the US has advanced the education system.
The last feature demonstrates the differences between the preferences of students when they face the selection of the major. Most students of KZ are typically select business majors, whereas there is a huge deficit of engineers. It means Kazakhstan’s students prefer to get knowledge in a more light way than studying numerical-engineering science. On the other hand, the USA faces a gender gap in these majors. According to Kennedy and Sowton (2018), ” These two majors differ quite a bit-both in terms of their popularity and the presence of a gender gap. By all measures, business is the most popular major for US college students overall” (p.37). In other words, there will be a potential deficit of engineers or other professions. Hence, the US officials will start the agitation campaign to study more STEM occupations (majors) like in Kazakhstan within scholarships or less percentage loan for education.
In conclusion, today the education system of any country demonstrates development in the way as Harvard or Stanford. These three main differences of two cultures show us some ways to develop KZ’s education system. Of course, these trends of advancement haven’t skipped Kazakhstan’s education system. Hence, in near future the local universities and schools will get enough knowledge and experience to make students ready for this competitive real world. Because, reality shows that without appropriate education or knowledge society won’t achieve its own purposes/goals.
