In modern age, the discussion about whether watching more on television can bring drawbacks or not in the life of most people has intensified. While television bring benefits for entertainment and information, it can be negative impacts if many people have more free-time on this device. I believe that watching more on television can be negatively effects to distract healthy life style and reduce the productivity of people. Therefore, I partially disagree for this statement.
On the one hand, it must be acknowledged that television provide advantages in many sectors in society’s life. It facilitates people to stay informed from the recent events either in the all sectors like entertainment, politics and sports. In addition, this device provides opportunities for society to gain knowledge throughout education channels. For example, National Geography is the one of science channels broadcasted on televisions which allow people to gain understanding of history events and explore the life of any creatures in the world. These factors can be benefits to gain insights and stay connected of the recent events.
Conversely, the dependence on television is significantly risks for people health and habits, an excessively viewing on this screen can be harmful physical health like eye diseases and heart problems. Moreover, people having more free time on television can distract face-to-face interactions with family and friends. For example, people watching more on movies tend to avoid social interactions with others which probably made them more loneliness and depression. These factors provide significantly effects for self-development.
