While big numbers of people reckon that showcasing violence on TV has a major effect on the person’s behaviour, others argue that real-life problems have much more impact.
Nowadays television takes a tremendous part in average person’s life and all types of media can be easily accessed worldwide. What’s more the limits that were once put on the media production companies are now not that significant. In result more and more violence could be now seen in movies, commercials and TV programmes. Consequently, the debate regarding whether it’s appropriate to depict violence started in some communities. Many individuals are worried that showing violence could negatively affect the society, especially children.
However, others, believe the television doesn’t have as strong influence on people as their personal experience and overall situation in country. Personally, I agree with this statement and presume that person’s behavior is more likely to change due to issues like unemployment or inequality in rights. Moreover, people now tend to be more precise about what they trust when watching TV.
In conclusion, even though with less sensory being put on movies, the image of violence has increased, I believe that seeing such media cannot make a person more aggressive. As a matter of fact, individual’s personality and mental stability are more important factors.
