Taking care of an older people are things that are associated with taking care of other people’s lives in every country, but other than that, taking care of an older people could still be able to do by their growing up childrens. For example, in Indonesia, older people who are already retired from their work are usually staying at home, watching television shows and also approaching themselves to religious things like praying. Another example that elderly people in Indonesia is that when they get old, they’re growing childrens are the ones who takes care of them by providing money, foods and drinks just like they’re parents taking care of them when they are still childrens.
In contrast, Elderly people who lives on a nursing home are the ones who are no longer in very good mental conditions physically, cognitively and mentally. Nursing home are the place where elderly people no longer feeling lonely because they will have new friends with the same age as their age and it is fully funded by the governments. According to the whom should fund the elderly people are according to the people’s ability either they want to taking care of them.
For the ones that were taking care on the nursing home are the ones who needs a special treatment for their mental, and psychological and also to meet their people with the same age to communicate and to socialize and sharing stories about life experiences. So overall, they could learn and hear about other life experiences from another person with a different background.
