In recent years, the popularity of cosmetic surgery has surged. Some people believe that cosmetic surgery is beneficial, while others argue that it is not acceptable.
Personally, I believe that cosmetic surgery is not a good way to achieve beauty naturally. The primary reasons individuals choose to undergo surgery are to boost their confidence and to appear younger. However, not all surgeries are successful, and patients often face significant risks, including the potential for severe complications or even death. Furthermore, after undergoing an operation, individuals require proper post-operative care. If they do not take care of themselves after the surgery, they may not achieve the results they desire, which often necessitates the help of a caregiver. Additionally, the cost of surgery can be exorbitant; the procedures themselves often amount to millions, not to mention the extensive preparations needed, such as organizing medical paperwork and undergoing various tests for diseases.
Moreover, many individuals who have undergone surgery end up looking similar to one another, and not all interventions yield favorable outcomes. Frequently, the results can appear unnatural. Generally, people invest substantial sums in surgery but often end up regretting their decisions, questioning why they chose to undergo such procedures. As I have observed, many individuals who have had multiple surgeries start to lose their natural look and may become addicted to these procedures, which can ultimately lead to dire consequences, including death. Those who repeatedly pursue cosmetic surgery risk developing body dysmorphic disorder (BDD).
