In the contemporary world, museums are not as popular as they were even a hundred years before. In my opinion, this is due to advancement of technology that has happened just in the last few decades and the misconception of museums among people. However, visiting cultural spaces is certainly important because it affects common development and helps you learn more about the past.
One of the main reasons why humanity does not go to museums is technology development, that allows us to enjoy masterpieces of art on the Internet and because museums are generally considered an uninteresting pastime among people. Evolution of sciences has given us an opportunity to refuse going to museums and savor art online. The one evidence of this is the fact that 100 years ago you had to visit a museum only physically. For instance, it is not necessary nowadays and if you want to observe exhibitions you can just find them on the Internet. Moreover, there is an opinion that museums are a useless time-spending and people who are not into culture and art simply reject visiting museums. That is because perceptions of the past have shifted and people don’t find it fascinating.
Nevertheless, if a person is not fond of culture, it can be beneficial for them to visit cultural spaces because it has a positive impact on general educational development and it is a possibility to learn more about our ancestors. Firstly, common education is a diverse range of different fields which simply develop your brain. In other words, such topics like culture, which at first glance seem meaningless, keep our brains working. Exactly because of common development we should visit and learn more about art. Additionally, through museums we may learn history and find out more about our ancestors. For example, some paintings cover wars and thanks to them it is possible to visualise and learn details about some past military conflicts.
In conclusion, museums and other cultural spaces are visited infrequently nowadays because of the change in values and evolution in technology that allows us to do everything online. Despite that, museums have a beneficial influence on general development and on historical knowledge.
