There is an ongoing debate whether AI assistance would replace traditional learning or not. Many people believe that AI can tailor smooth learning experience, whereas other believe that in person interaction and communication in social settings is irreplaceable. I completely disagree, as I AI assistants cannot replace traditional education completely because learning through human interaction is more empathetic, and customized.
Learning through a teacher helps a student to express themselves easily and teacher can understand their feelings through the expression and gestures. For example, Especially for the early childhood education, when a teacher teaches them they can understand their upbringing and values and it’s quite easier to teach them morals and values again which is not possible through AI learning.
When a person learns through AI, they cannot learn group work, and collaborative projects. A study made by Yale University found that 60% of students who were engaged in group work are likely to secure job after graduation. This states that, students will get prepared with social loafing, bystanders perspective, division of responsibilities and many other related factors which eventually helps them to do better in their career. In addition to that, though AI can assist and can make learning convinence and fun but replacing the entire education wouldn’t be possible.
In conclusion, though AI uses has been tremendously increasing in the education sector, it cannot compete with human oriented teaching as traditional means involve teachers who can resonate students feelings and can provide more tailored instructions. but it is necessary to integrate AI tools in learning to make it more effective and productive.
