It is often argued that with the increase in personalized Artificial Intelligence assistants, traditional teaching method concentrated on standerized course is becoming isolated. On the other hand, some individuals state that the fundamentals of knowledge is required for social cohesion and informed people. The advancements of AI in the field of education has changed the way of teaching methods to be precise but it doesn’t rule out the fact that fundamentals of education are still relevant. Thus, in this essay I will discuss how pros of AI advancement won’t replace the base of education.
Since the progress of AI in the field of teaching and learning pedagogy, the rigid socrates method of teaching which is based on a concrete curriculum is being avoided. Nowadays pupils are so advanced that the curriculum generated by school committe is way out of league. The advancement of AI now requires integration of technology in regular school proeedings which is only possible when we are able to make ourselves flexible towards the syllabus. Teachers are now able to develop their personal study plans which ipso facto makes the old curriculum obselete in reality.
Having said that AI advancement can definitely outweigh the ancient syllabus system but the base of education is still required to socially correlate. Common field of knowledge like civic sense, moral education are best communicated through the standard and traditional knowledge foundation. No matter how far the AI advances, the standerized curriculum cannot be disregared to build our humanitarian approach. For instance, our parents are products of the same ancient curriculum and they are way ahead of us in practical field than young generations. So, rather than the use of technology the learning usually depends upon our sense of understanding.
Thus, even afer the introduction of personalized AI assistants, the fundamentals of being human and a societal person is never faded away and traditional curriculum will continue to prevail.
