Nowadays, many countries are going through ‘digital nomadism,’ this is when poeple work remotely while travelling the world. In my opinion, the rise of remote work and global mobility have more advantages rather than disadvantages.
Firstly, digital nomadism appears in many work fields, including trading, stocks, investing, management, and many more. The advantages of working remotely are being able to spend more time with our family and being able to work in a comfortable environment. This automatically reduces our stress, loneliness, and help the world be a better place. People who has early morning shifts also avoids having a hectic morning where they could hurt themselves due to rushing to get to work on time.
Secondly, the advantages for countries they visit and leave behind are gaining a higher income from tourists, keeping the country and its citizens alive, and gaining more knowledge. For example, a few years ago Bali wasn’t doing good in its economy espescially for the local street vendors. After becoming a famous tourist destination due to its clubs, beaches, and foods, Balis’ economy slowly recovers and its community learned new languages and cultures. Now, Bali has one of the biggest beach clubs in the world all thanks to the people who works there or works remotely.
To summarize, digital nomadism doesn’t make this world harder, on the contrary, it makes this world easier and more pleasant to live. There may be disadvantages to working remotely but the advantages far outweighs the disadvantages.
