Usually men and women are considered as having separate abilities and disabilities, so some people think that it is encouraged to restrict men and women from particular occupations due to their sex. I completely agree since some jobs require for considerable amount of physical strength and are socially inappropriate either for women or men.
Firstly, there are certain professions which ask employees to be physically strong enough. In modern society, a small number of occupations left, which exactly require for physical strength, as now people mostly work with their intelligence, creativity and problem-solving skills. However, those jobs still exist and in most cases women are excluded from them because they are seen as tender and fragile creatures, which should work in simplified spheres. Governments and women’s husbands care and worry about them, and in order to prevent health issues, as infertility or muscle pain, they highly recommend females to choose suitable occupation. Bones of women can be easily damaged comparing to men’s ones due to the differences in hormonal balance. For example, in order to work as miner, person needs to have hardened, strong arms to split big rocks, which is not typical for women.
Secondly, it is literally shameful for men or women to work in specific fields. All nations have different mentalities and ideologies, but there are some countries which do not accept men working in certain areas, usually it occurs in the religious or Asian countries, where tolerance is not as high as their views. People in Europe may be unbiased with the fact that man works as housemaid and wears skirt with apron, but when it comes to Russia, they will insult and threaten that male worker until he lefts his job. Also same situation happens with woman who works as a butcher, where violence and strength is involved, others will consider that female butcher is not feminine and gentle, so she cannot be good wife and mother in future. For example, in Saudi Arabia, not a single man is able to work as female hairdresser, because men do not have a right to have any contact with unknown women according to law of religion.
In conclusion, I completely agree that not every profession is suitable for men or women since certain jobs ask for great physical strength and some of them are not suitable due to the people’s social views.
