Parenting is one of the most important duties in any person’s life, as it may decide the character and upbringing of a child. Hence, in this modern world, people believe that women’s are more better at parenthood when compared with men. I agree to upto some extent with this conception and the reasons for my agreement are penned down in the essay.
Considering the reasons for my agreement, firstly, it is a proven fact that females are more emotional and sensitive than males; which is a quality that everyone should inherit in themselves. This quality can be better learned from mothers based on various experiences they come across in their life. Secondly, observing their mothers handling various social relations can also teach young ones how to make bonds and maintain relationships with others in the social set ups.
Moreover, women usually tends to fulfill household as well as other responsibilites without failing in any terms. For example, in today’s society, female earns their bread, meanwhile they also perform their household chores. This shows that they are multitasking and can manage more than one responsibility at a time. From this point, it is clear that a child can learn management skills from his mother. Lastly, mothers have a biological connections with their child, so they tends to understand the needs and thoughts of her child, and gives more love, care and affection to the child. This is the most important factor why the role of mothers is considered crucial.
However, the role of a father cannot be overlooked. Generally, fathers are more practical and have faced real life challenges which makes them harsh and so this knowledge and experiences they learned can be passed on to their children which can be life saving learnings for them. To illustrate, usually a man often confides his needs when he has to buy something for their children. Hence, their hardwork and struggles can become teachings or lessons whenever required.
To conclude, mothers can nuture the young ones in emotional terms, instill the morals and values in them, but the role of fathers to prepare them for the real life challenges are equally important. Hence, I believe that both of them have disctint roles to play while parenting a child.
