It is often believed that people nowadays prefer working in other countries to earn a great deal of money and gain more benefits. Nevertheless, others think this situation has a lot of drawbacks. This essay will discuss the pros and cons of working abroad.
On the one hand, many residents are chasing after money and they see that working overseas has more benefits. For example, individuals who work in a foreign country will have many connections and develop their knowledge about international culture because by becoming foreign employees, they will communicate with many locals so that they can learn from other people’s experience in order to avoid breaking national policies. Furthermore, they will get higher salaries due to different currencies. For instance, many Indonesian people are looking for a job in Australia because 1 dollar in Australia is 10.000 rupiah in Indonesia which is relatively big.
On the other hand, the disadvantages of working outside the country, it can create a sense of loneliness due to living alone and far from family. Moreover, it is hard to adapt to a new culture such as an unusual language. Additionally, the living expenses can be higher so they need to manage finances wisely if they want to save their money. As a result, these situations will make people think twice before becoming foreign employees.
In conclusion, taking a job in another country has many benefits and drawbacks. Although foreign countries offer high salaries, the cost of living is also expensive. Therefore, residents have to be wise in calculating the cost of income, expenses, and their savings.
