War is an ongoing crisis in every part of the world. In ancient times females weren’t encouraged to become a leader and men provoked violence and conflicts in the patriarchal society. This sparked the debate of how women can offer peace to the earth making a great leader than men. In this essay, I will partially agree to women taking the leadership role and men can change their views.
First of all, Women were considered to be soft and kind hearted in nature and regarded as fit for only motherhood historically. However, this motherhood can be expressed for a greater cause that is to protect their country. For instance, Tamil Nadu’s former chief minister Jayalalitha was a great leader who prevailed peace while Tamil Nadu protested for the water release and Karnataka opposed to open the dam. Consequently, due efforts of Jayalalitha both states agreed to the co-operate with each other maintaining peace.
On the other hand, not only women have the ability to promote peace but also work for independence of the nation. Women have the tendency to save money rather than spending in a household and also feed the children without consuming food in case of poverty. For example, Indhira gandhi, daughter of first Prime Minister of India joined the movement for independence at her early age, and rose to become the first female Prime Minister of India preserving peace not only among the nation but also for the neighbouring country.
From the midpoint of view, men and women equally play a pivotal role in navigating the society to become a better nation. Although there were men who challenges nation by war such as Adolf Hitler, there are men who suggested otherwise like Gandhi, who claimed peace offering to the British by the movement called Satyagraha which was a hunger strike.
To sum, Violence cannot be an answer to any problems as it causes never ending. Despite having male leaders who triumphs over violence and conflict, for a change women attaining powerful position can change the perspectives of aggressive war and leading to a peaceful congregation among the community.
