There is an ongoing debate about whether present life is better now than it was in 100 years ago. This issue should be considered according to different aspects of the situation. In some perspective, I can agree with the statement, but in some other perspectives it would be extremely difficult for me to be in the same direction with the statement. My reasons are outlined below.
First and foremost, in my perspective, it is undeniable that life is better now than it used to be with a simple sentence “life needs health”. Alongside all the practical positive effects of developing technology in our lives, the most crucial and important development happened in the medicine sector. Extending the length of human life with such important improvements on cures and medicines is the most critical improtance of the century we are living in. For instance, a man who could save with small touches in present might be died out of desperation 100 years ago. Today’s options and possibilities for cures are so various that improve human life in the most efficient way it can.
On the other hand, alongside the practical and positive aspects brought by modern world and its technologies, we must discuss how this practical life impacts human life. Most of individuals spend their most of times on screens and use them as a tool to communicate. However, this amount of time spending on screens destroys people’s ability to focus and make them forget how to communicate with others in real life. The lack of communication ability causes destruction of the relations between friends and families. This social dissolution is a subject that should be discussed among the topics of negative impacts of our new modern world.
In conclusion, to decide whether the life is better than it used to be, we should detail the subject. The new practical solutions and critical cures brought by the modern world cannot be ignored as much as the social destruction it brings.
