It is a belief of a few people that in certain circumstances it is valid to tell lies, and speaking up the truth is not neccesary and in fact is inappropriate at such instances. I strongly disagree to this because, I am a believer of honesty as it is the first stepping stone in building trust other people. Also, such notion may cause trouble in the society as decieving others may turn valid according to it.
In any kind of relationship the first and foremost essential bridge is trust that can only be built if their is honesty among them. Additionally, even a little taste of deceitful nature of someone may arise trust issues and will only end up in destruction. For example, according to a few surveys majority of the divorce cases were reported with the main reason being disloyality and lying habits among the couple.
Another reason is that a person may become skillfully deceitful because as the elders have said “one may lie hundreds of times to hide a single one”. For instance, a lie has been told about an outing with friends at home, to set the premise and rule out any possible ways to get to the actual truth one may lie more and more. However, the loop of lying may continue for a while but it is also said that the truth always reveals itself someway or the other at the end.
In conclusion, truth is the most important aspect in any case regardless of the situations because lying is not an appreciable attribute and infact can be a deal-breaker in many instances.
