Some argue that the increasing number of individuals wanting their own advantages in a society is the result of their ranges of choices they had in their childhood. Some other state that it is crucial for younger generations to choose between various options affecting their future. In my opinion, although it is important for parents to control their children’s behaviors, providing enough room of different options for children enables them to grow faster.
Opponents of the availability of choices argue that younger demographics don’t have enough experience to make decision with long- or short-term consequences. Some of these choices may have negative effects on their routines while others may have severe outcomes in the future. For example, teenagers have the habit of eating out, mostly fast food and unhealthy meals, while these kinds of food contain large proportions of oil, salt, and unsaturated fat. As a result, they will face problems like obesity, high cholesterol, and diabetes.
However, I believe that by giving children enough room to grow and choose their favorite activities and habits while providing them with feedback as a parent, is the best we can do to boost their productivity. Obviously, every human being that is born, is here for a purpose and is looking for things that they are enthusiast about and can be an outlet for their potentials. For example, Cristiano Ronaldo was eager to play football every day. If his parents had limited him to school and doing homework, he couldn’t have achieve what he has today.
In conclusion, while it is important to monitor the tasks of younger demographics, it is more crucial to give them opportunities to cultivate their abilities.
