There is an opinion that governments should build more sport centres to make resident’s physical health better. Someone may disagree: this will not affect much on the issue and other solutions must be taken. I personally agree with the second statement, however, this essay will discuss both points of view.
From one side, if the number of sport facilities was increased, more people would spend time on training. For instance, sport facilities on the outside can give an opportunity to someone, who perhaps can’t afford themself weekly sport classes. This will improve public health of the country and help different people to begin doing workouts. Adding to that, the location of sport centres is frequently in the center of the town, although there are always problems with parking. Moreover, people living far away from city centre refuse to spend so much time on riding for training sessions. Building new facilities in other areas may have more possibilities for new people to come.
On the other hand, working on health and body is a difficult way, which not everyone can go through. Despite the fact that each person will have opportunities to train by themselve, the motivation can go away. For example, visiting sport centres regularly develops discipline, while having a free will in workouts leads to loss of motivation. Also, there are many other ways to solve this problem, such as decreasing sales of fast food or put higher prices on bad products and lower for healthy ones. Being healthy doesn’t mean only visiting sport clubs, it means controlling the body weight, the food production and lifestyle. Furthermore, the public health cannot be improved by making new training classes, because everyone’s health only depends on themselves and their discipline.
In sum, even if the amount of gyms will be increased, it will have a little effect on public health. In my opinion, governments should care more about the production of unhealthy food.
