The plans illustrate the library ground floor in 2001, and how it was redeveloped in 2009.
Overall, the most noticeable being the increase on tables, the elimination of the newspaper and periodicals, and the introduction of films and dvds.
In 2001, to the north of the library there was a fiction area where the place was popular among teenagers. Next to this was a big history spot. On the other side there was a newspaper and periodicals, while walking down to the south of the library was a libralian’s desk and stairs next to it. The self-help can be used at the south west part of ground floor.
Turning to the present day plan, it can be seen that the newspaper and periodicals have all gone, being replaced by films and dvds, albliet with computers facilities which it did not have before. The tables have been changed thier template in two holizontal lines, the new ones have been built with children’s area in the front . The libralian’s desk and the stairs remain. The history, fiction, self-help remain, while kitchen and economics area were constructed to the north west side.
