The line graph provides data about unemployment rate and people who left Ireland over a twenty-year period between 1988 and 2008.
Overall,it can be clearly seen that the figures for both leaving Ireland and number of individuals who do not have work decreased in the same duration. Another interesting point is that , the percentage of worklessness was the highest in 1988, while the index for humans abandoning Ireland showed an upward trend at the end of the year.
Turning to the details, the proportion of unemployed people was approximately 18% at the beginning of the year,but it started to decline to just under 14% after 2 years.Moreover ,having reached to 15% in 1992, it dropped considerably from 1994 until 2000.Then it experienced almost the same pattern,leveling off at 6% in 2008.
In terms of leaving country, 60000 citizens left this nation in 1988 and continued to fall down to approximately 50000 inhabitants by 1990.Despite a slight increase between 1992 and 1994,it experienced a downward trend before jumping to over 40000 people in the final year.
