Many people think that companies should have flexible working hours, while others argue that this practice disrupts work environment. This essay will discuss both perspectives before I explain my viewpoint.
Those who support this idea argue that open working hours is best for availability. A farm offering flexible working hours would be more efficient than others who won’t. For instance, if a job needs to be done at odd hours, can be executed by an employee if the employer allows flexibility. Additionally, it helps employees to plan other important activities in an organised manner without any delay, which in turn keeps the work-life balance very healthy and motivates the worker to excel in their domain.
To counter that, another group of people still inclined towards the conventional working hours and do not appreciate the concept of open timings. They argue that with all the advantages, flexibility brings other issues such as disruption of personal time which might increase the stress level if continued for a longer time. This can also create imbalanced work life as well.
In my opinion, employees will prefer a balanced way of working hours to be able to choose according to their choice. They should have an option to switch between both the schedules. This would ensure a proper balance between personal and professional obligations.
