Nowadays an increasing number of students prefer to evaluate their knowledge via exams rather than continual assessments. While there are some benefits to this , they are outweighed by the drawbacks.
There are several advantages of this , one of them is that It can give birth to the implementation of learning methods. Other benefits of evaluating knowledge via exam is to give students and teachers an idea of their yearly progress and exams encourage the use of extreme efficiency.
In my opinion, However the downsides of evaluating knowledge through exams are greater . One major disadvantage is time-bound. in an exam, students barely have enough time to complete the paper, let alone think. Due to this, they start stressing and rush through it without understanding the requirements. Therefore, they end up making mistakes most of the time, even after knowing the correct answer. But , in assessments will teach a student to manage their time with various assignments to complete in one go and It gives them the comfort of being at home and studying.
In conclusion, there are some positives associated with yearly progress and saving times in testing with exam . However these are not as significant as the negatives, which include time-bound
