From an overall perspective, it is evident that significant developments have occurred in the northern part of the island. New recreational and transportation facilities have been added to enhance the convenience and vibrancy of people’s lives. Meanwhile, the eastern and southern parts have remained largely unchanged.
Over the past two decades, notable alterations have been made along the northern coast of the village. In the northwest, the lighthouse remains the same, but the old fort has been replaced by a children’s playground, situated next to the newly constructed community center. Adjacent to the community center, the number of houses has increased from four to seven. Moreover, a tennis court has been built across from the lighthouse in the northwest.
In the southern part of the mainland, the landscape has remained mostly untouched. The southern coastal area still contains the playing field, while the Old Fort Road continues to traverse the village, connecting it to the southern island through a roundabout and a bridge. A notable change is the transformation of the former film studio building into flats, as well as the recent construction of a footpath that runs parallel to the Roadbridge, providing residents with easy access to the school.
