News editor’s decision about what will be broadcast in television and what will be printed in the newspaper are affects what we see and read about our around world. I will give my opinion about some factors that affect news editor’s decision.

The first factor is relevance, news editor usually choose news that is relevant with their audiences, like political news, economy and current events. Then, news editor also choose news which is sensational, because more interesting. Not only that, news editor also consider about their ratings and popularities, so they prefer choose popular news. Additionally, news editor also considering creadibility of their news sources, so they choose news from trusted sources.

I think as audience, I have opinion about whether we used to bad news or good news. In my opinion, Human tend to more interesting in bad news because our natural tendency to pay attention to threats and dangers. Additionally, excessive exposure to bad news can make our get to used it and do not care with bad news.

However, I think good news can increase moril and our spirit, so could make our positive and optimistic. Therefore, good news can improve our awarness about positive things in the world, so make our more responsive and towards the needs of others. Growth in good news can increase overall of news quality, so make news more balanced and representative.

In conlusion, news editor’s decision affects by some factors, inculde relevance, rating, sensational. In my opinion news editor’s decison is important to have balanced between bad news and good news in broadcast news.
